The pupils prepared for the open day with a variety of projects from the fields of art and culture, languages, history and science.
One group analyzed ballads such as "Der Erlkönig". After the analysis, they made the figures and backgrounds out of cardboard and acted out the ballad in a shadow theater. This play was recorded and edited for presentation at the open day. The two videos can be found on our website under 'Virtual Open Day' on the home pages.
Piñatas were also made and the tradition of these candy bombs was explained by the pupils. Of course, the youngest of our visitors were allowed to smash some piñatas and enjoy the sweets.
The project 'The wonderful world of radio plays' also attracted a lot of interest. Here, the pupils learned how to write scripts for radio plays and how to record and edit radio plays based on their own ideas. At the open day, there was then the opportunity to listen to the self-produced radio plays.
The chemistry experiments were also very well attended again. There was smoke, bubbling and banging. But there was also plenty to try out and experience in physics.
All in all, our visitors, big and small, were able to discover, try out, listen to and watch a lot.
