BO painting project class 8 International Secondary School Reinsdorf

While almost all students of the International Schools Reinsdorf already enjoyed their well-deserved summer vacations, six students of class 8 decided to still participate in a voluntary career orientation project.

The idea was to get an insight into the profession of a painter. And what better way to do that than to try it out for yourself in practice.

During the first three days of their summer vacation, the students gave their classroom a new shine. They repainted it under the guidance of master painter Mrs. Mocker-Pluszczyk.

This, of course, involved masking off beforehand, laying out flow on the floor of the classroom, and deciding on the right color choice.

After Ms. Mocker-Pluszczyk showed the kids how to correctly apply the paint to the wall, they were off.

The room was once completely painted. Now concrete thoughts could be made, how the walls could still be designed. The girls consulted each other and gradually a good plan emerged, which also became more and more detailed during the work.

Together with the master painter, the artwork was put on the wall. On the last day, the finishing touches were completed and, of course, everything had to be tidied up and cleaned. This is also part of the daily work routine.

Within three days, the students got a very good insight into the profession, were able to create something for themselves and their class, learned a lot and came together well as a team.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our master painter Mrs. Mocker-Pluszczyk and her team once again. Without their commitment, the implementation of the project would not have been possible.
