The Zwickau Police Department introduces itself at our school

On 01.07.22 we invited the police department Zwickau to present themselves at our school. There were 9 interested students from classes 10 and 11 of our International High School and 17 from classes 8 and 9 of the International High School.

Mrs. Lisa Klöser, career counselor at the police department, came to our gym. For about an hour, she presented the police with their training and study opportunities, with their many opportunities within the police service and reported on the application process for the police. She answered the questions of the interested students and told some interesting anecdotes from the everyday life of the police.

After that, they prepared with Mrs. Franziska Hähnel (sports teacher) for the upcoming sports test, which comes from the police recruitment process. After the first small beads of sweat could be seen on everyone's forehead, Mrs. Klöser took over again. In front of the students was a course made up of individual box parts arranged around a medicine ball at a distance of two meters. The goal was to complete the course 9 times in a maximum of one minute after doing a set number of push-ups.

This created a real team spirit among the participants. They cheered each other on and motivated each other, so that almost all the students managed to keep to the time limit. But that was not all. Afterwards, the girls had to run 2 kilometers and the boys 2.4 kilometers in 12 minutes. Here, too, the team concept was writ large, as the students really brought out all their reserves with the help of their classmates' cheers! That was really great class from everyone involved!

For all those who participated in the career orientation measure of the Zwickau police department, there was still a corresponding certificate. This will certainly not only look good in your application documents for training or studying with the police!

Once again, a big thank you to Mrs. Klöser, who gave our students a highly interesting insight into the activities of the police service.
