And not to let the tension become unbearable - yes, we have very successfully defended our seal for vocational orientation. This means that exceptionally good career orientation continues to be practiced at our school. Our students are prepared for their future after school in the best possible way and accompanied on their way there.

However, the day on which the school audit took place was really exciting and the preparations for it were also quite challenging. In the run-up there was a lot to do for the BO team of the school. The BO concept was submitted, a presentation for the jury was prepared, different presentations about our BO activities were made, photos were printed and exhibits made by students had to be gathered.

The jury consisted of a total of 4 members and was made up of the head of the awarding process, and one representative each from the economy, the employment agency and the LaSuB. In order to get an impression of the vocational orientation at our school, the following points were on the agenda of the jury: Presentation of the BO at the school by the BO team with a lecture and a round of talks, a tour of the school, which was accompanied by 3 of our students, as well as rounds of talks with students, parents and cooperation partners. Furthermore, the jury was able to get an additional impression in an exhibition room by means of photos, presentations, models or newspaper articles. After they had looked at and listened to everything, the jury deliberated once again. That was a loooong half hour for us. But then we were told the result and the tension of the day gave way to joy about this great confirmation of our work regarding the BO at our school.

But without the active support of our students, the parents and the companies that answered the jury's questions on this day, the result would not have been possible. Of course, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all the students who helped out on this day, whether with home-cooked food for the jury or with the guided tour of the school building and, of course, with the discussion rounds. Also a big thank you goes to Mrs. Galle, Mrs. Siebert, Mr. Särchinger (BSW Werdau), Mr. Engelhardt (Reika Reinsdorf), Mrs. Illge (career counselor) and Mr. Pampel (Volkswagen Bildungsinstitut), who also reported on our BO in a talk with the jury on this day.

We would also like to thank the jury for this eventful day. They have shown us once again that we are exactly on the right track and further motivated to continue the work in the same way.
