Review of the GTA Katharinenhof an der Wiesenaue
For one school year, Saskia, Heidi, Paulina, Cecilia and Lina visited our nursing home in Reinsdorf as part of the GTA Katharinenhof.
This GTA had several objectives.
A Million Dreams - our musical gala
On June 7, 2024, a special event of the International Schools Reinsdorf took place in the Erlenwald ballroom in Vielau: the Musical Gala.
The event was organized and performed by Patrick Seidel and Jaime Hartzell as well as the students of the Musical-GTA.
BO hiking day of the 8IOR
Year 8 of our International Secondary School in Reinsdorf chose to go to the Porsche plant in Leipzig for their careers orientation day. However, as the class also wanted to try things out in practice and gain an insight into various training occupations, we visited the Porsche Experience Workshop beforehand.
Bernhard Schlink's visit with us
Bernhard Schlink is one of the most important and successful authors of our time and, thanks to his international bestseller "The Reader", is more than just known to Saxon schoolchildren. Today he commutes between Berlin and New York and, after a long career as a lawyer and writer, now devotes himself entirely to writing.
Reinsdorf residents take third place in the "Stock Market Simulation Game" in the sustainability category.
On October 20, 2023, Class 10 IOR of the International Secondary School in Reinsdorf was invited to take part in a competition organized by Sparkasse. It's called the stock market simulation game.
The open day at the International Schools Reinsdorf
On Saturday, 27.01.2024, the International Schools Reinsdorf hosted an open day in bright sunshine. Once again this year, the schools were filled with interested visitors shortly after the doors opened at 9.30 am.
"Are you an Addams?"
While others celebrate the start of the fifth season on 11.11, join a St. Martin's procession or spend the evening relaxing on the coach, the students of GTA Theater (er)leben once again set off to experience local culture. The musical "The Addams Family" was on the program at the Gewandhaus Zwickau.

On 01.11.2023, interested pupils from the International Schools Reinsdorf took the bus to Weimar.
A world without polio
Thanks to consistent vaccinations, polio is no longer an issue in Germany. However, as long as polio viruses are still present in Afghanistan or Pakistan, for example, we cannot be carefree.

While almost all students of the International Schools Reinsdorf already enjoyed their well-deserved summer vacations, six students of class 8 decided to still participate in a voluntary career orientation project.
